Paste one URL into Stripe
Payloader passes each event on to up to 5 addresses on paid plans, such as production and staging, and records what each one replied. The CLI forwards the same events to your laptop, with no tunnel to set up.
Resends that still verify
Stripe and Slack put a timestamp in each signature, and your app rejects an old one, so a plain resend fails the check. On paid plans, add your signing secret and Payloader re-signs every retry and resend with a fresh timestamp. Shopify signatures have no timestamp, so they verify as they are.
Three months of one customer, as Stripe told it
Rosa runs a bookshop and pays you $24 a month. On September 10 she emails to ask why her account stopped working. You search her address in Payloader and this is what comes back.

Each line is one event Stripe sent, summed up. Open any of them to see the exact request, headers and all, when a developer needs it.
The declined card reached #billing in Slack on September 9, the day it happened. You pick which events alert you and where: Slack, Discord or email.
History stays for 7 days on Free, 90 days on Developer, a year on Team, and as long as you like on Business.
To set this up for your own account, sign up and copy your URL, then paste it into Stripe under Developers, Webhooks, Add endpoint. Shopify and GitHub each have a similar Webhooks page, and the app shows you where.
Free tools like webhook.site and the Stripe CLI are good for watching a request go by while you build. Payloader is for after launch, when you need to know what happened three weeks ago.
Where your customers' data goes
Payment events include customer names and emails. Here is what happens to them.

Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Every account starts on the Free plan, with no card and no end date. Add a card only when you pick a paid plan.
What do I get on the Free plan?
One person, 2 webhook URLs, 7 days of history and up to 1,000 webhooks a month. Summaries, the live feed, resend, replay, export, the CLI, the API and alerts all work. Signature checks and re-signing start on Developer.
Will my app still get the webhooks?
Yes, if you want. Add your app's address and Payloader passes every event on and records what your app replied. Paid plans can send each event to up to 5 addresses, such as production and staging. You can resend any past event with one click.
Which services does it understand?
Stripe, Shopify, GitHub, Slack, Linear, Vercel, SendGrid, Twilio, Paddle, HubSpot, Braintree, AWS SNS, Segment, PagerDuty, Intercom, Datadog, Square and Zendesk. Anything else that sends webhooks still works; you see the request as it arrived.
I'm a developer. Is there a CLI and an API?
Yes. Forward events to your laptop from the command line, export to CSV, JSON, HAR or Postman, and read everything over a REST API with an API key. It's all in the docs.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Open Billing in your account and cancel in the billing portal. No call, no email. When the paid period ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: your history and the URLs you already have keep working, but you cannot add more than the Free plan allows.
